Did you know that you can schedule blog posts? While daily blogging is more intimate and “in the moment,” the occasional scheduled post can free up your schedule. For example, if you plan on blogging about a non-time-sensitive topic, such as punctuation or freelance writing tips, you could spend a few hours writing your posts and scheduling their publish dates. Once done, go on vacation or work on other projects knowing that you can take a break on blogging for a few days.
In fact, this blog post has been scheduled! I wrote it yesterday and scheduled it to be published today. Mondays are hectic for me, so a few minutes spent yesterday brings me a reprieve today.
How did I do it? If you use Word Press, you can schedule your blog posts simply by clicking the “edit” link next to “publish immediately” and then select your desired publish date.
I use Word Press, but I also use Windows Live Writer which also has a blog scheduling feature (and allows you to manage multiple blogs which I love).
